Our 2011 season schedule (at least the fall part) is posted here.  If you're not already a member of pitchero, please sign up and register yourself as a player -- doing so will help us keep up with who's available for selections come game time.

Men's XVs Rugby Training Has Begun

Training started last week and so far we've had great numbers -- Thanks to everyone that's been showing up!

Several people have written in asking about joining us over the last couple months -- we'll be getting back to everyone very shortly.

Anyone interested in showing up and putting a run in is welcome to come to one of our practices.  We normally meet between 6 and 6:15 PM on the corner of Naval Ave and Burwell Place, across from The Pour House in Bremerton.  If you have base access, meet us at the upper softball field on PSNS at 6:30 PM.

Training tomorrow is going to be our fitness test, so bring running shoes in addition to your cleats.

Kitsap Rugby 25th Anniversary Reunion and Picnic

NEW DATE and TIME:  Sunday, Sept 12th, 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Illahee State Park

To all PRC/OPSU/KRFU/Bangor Renegades/Armadillos players, alumni, family, friends, and fans:  This will be our first official pre-season Kick-Off Party and Reunion.  The 2010/2011 season marks the official 25th Anniversary of OPSU, and to celebrate we're having a family reunion style picnic!

This is a BYOB, Pot-Luck event -- bring the family, and bring something to share.

If you're on facebook, you can use our event page to coordinate on who's bringing side-dishes, mains, snacks, and etc.

If you know of any former players and friends that won't see this notice, please help out and extend an invite for us!

FISHBOWL! This Saturday!

Hey All -- Time to kick off this year's XVs season at Fishbowl 2010!

Fishbowl is this Saturday at the Kitsap County Fairgrounds on Gordon Field in Bremerton (same place the DIII Championships were last April).  Registration begins at 9 AM and the first matches should kick-off about 10.  Get their early in order to make sure you get a t-shirt in your size!

Key points:

• This is not a summer 7s tourney -- we usually play 15s or 10s depending on how many players show up
• This is not a team tourney -- everyone registers as individuals ($15), your names go into a fishbowl, and teams are made by random drawing
• This is a fun tourney, not a competitive one -- so come to have a good time and play safe!
• This is a co-ed adult tournament; participants must be at least 18 years of age and must currently be CiPP compliant with USAR (your CIPP from last season is good until Aug 31)
• There will be a beer garden, food for sale on site, and a bouncy house for the kids -- so bring the family and meet the folks that play rugby here in the Pacific Northwest

Schedule:
8:00 AM: KRFU Members arrive to set-up and prepare
9:00 AM: Registration
9:30 AM: Drawing of teams
10:00 AM: Kick-off!
12:00 PM: Lunch (30-45 min ish)

Although there is nothing formal scheduled for an after-party, we may all head out to a local pub afterward. The beer garden will stay open until about 5 pm at the latest. Contact the Comfort Inn in Bremerton for lodging info: 360-377-7666
