Heya Folks -- We're getting together Saturday for some field cleanup, some training, and a "chalk-talk" at PSNS. Bring your kit, some work clothes, gloves (shovels, rakes, etc.), and pencil and paper for the classroom session.
In addition, there was also some talk of doing something more social with the rest of the afternoon.
What: Work Party/Chalk-Talk/Social
Schedule:
- 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM -- Field Work Party
- 11:00 AM to 12:00 NOON -- Training
- 12:00 NOON to 1:00 PM -- classroom chalk-talk
Where: PSNS Upper Softball Fields -- Meet at the corner of Burwell and Naval 20 mins early if you need a ride/escort on base.
We do not currently have enough of the Renegades committed to playing a friendly against the Avalanche in Portland this Saturday.
We need a "yes" or "no" from all members so that we can get a headcount. Go to:

The KRFU Executive Committee will be meeting Monday, Oct 20th. We'll be meeting in one of the classrooms that are right next to the pitch on PSNS. Meet at the old KFC location if you need a ride on. The meeting will start at 7 pm, so please be at KFC by 6:45pm at the latest.
Who can come? According to Article VIII, section 3 of the Olympic Peninsula Sports Union constitution:
Any Member of the Union may observe the meeting. Any Member or non-member may participate in the meeting when invited to do so by a member of the Executive Committee. Guest participants may not make a motion, second a motion, or vote.
Because Orsu is not setting up any additional food for fans we are taking our own food. Subs and grubs. Bring sides to go with a sandwich or bring a sub.

**This is the same ending time as last year but a one hour later start time due to most teams living far from Portland.
FoodFood will be provided starting after 1:00 (when the first two teams have ended their second games). We are having BBQ hot dogs with BBQ side items. We will provide a veggie option. We will have beverages for under 21ers and a keg for those WITH ID. I need two things: 1. How many players/coaches will be eating? (also how many vegetarians?) 2. How many players are over 21?
**There will be tickets handed out at the field for food and beer.
ConcessionWe will have a concession stand with fruit, sports drink, and small food items for sale. At this stand we will also be selling ORSU t-shirts for $15, 2 for $25 AND ORSU hoodies for $25 which are both fundraisers for ORSU.
SocialThis year's theme, and a common theme for our Jester Round Robin, is Anything But Clothes. There will be prizes for the best outfits, as well as players of the match. We will sing, do a boat race, and social after all the matches are finished. Please plan on sticking around for the social, it is definitely the highlight of the tournament!

I am not going to get into details about the match. Just wanted to say, "Well played Ladies." We almost had that try at the end. We all showed progress throughout the game and hopefully in 2 weeks we can give them a run for thier money.
The posistives:
We had a good pack. We won a srum and a few defenssive lineouts as well as holding our own.
Our tackles looked good.
The negatives:
We need to work with the backs and on the fringe. The fringe is where we lost this match.
The best: Every person on the sidelines and Budd Bay women's and men's team were absolutly amazed that we never gave up. That gets a big hell ya.
Thank you to the famliy and friends for your support and thanks to buss bay for giving us some whores.
