Navy Rules, Army Drools? Bangor Rugby Team Finally Gets the Better of Fort Lewis

The Bangor Renegades capture a 36-24 Commander’s Cup victory over Fort Lewis.

For the first time the Commander’s Cup belongs to the Navy.

The trophy that has traveled across the Narrows Bridge back to Fort Lewis for the last nine years will stay in Kitsap this time as the Bangor Renegades defeated the Fort Lewis Stud Dawgs, 36-24, in the 10th annual Army-Navy rugby match Saturday at Strawberry Fields....

The players dinner and awards ceremony was held at the Loft in downtown Poulsbo. Here's a rundown of the awards:

Man of the Match / MVP: John Moore
Most Valuable Forward, Navy: Adam Arroyo
Most Valuable Forward, Army: Jim Duffy
Most Valuable Back, Navy: Brian Bruce
Most Valuable Forward, Army: Cliff Moore
