AGM Tonight -- Elections

Our AGM and Club elections are tonight!

For any of you that might not be aware, we are seeking nominations for all offices. The positions up for election are:

• President
• Vice-President
• Treasurer
• Executive Secretary
• Social Secretary
• Equipment Manager
• Recruiting Secretary

If you know anyone that you think would be good for any of these positions, of if you would be interested in taking on any of these roles yourself, show up tonight to volunteer, or make your nominations. No experience necessary, and we'll all be working together to help everyone understand and learn their various responsibilities.

If you can't make the AGM for the actual elections, you can vote by proxy by emailing your vote to krfu@kitsaprugby.org (You must be a member in good standing to vote, and you can vote for whomever you like, wether or not they have already been nominated -- your vote will serve as a nomination, but the nominee will still have the chance to say yay or nay before accepting office).  If you are going to vote by email (aka. "by proxy"), get your votes in by noon tomorrow, July 23.

KRFU AGM - July 22 --- FISHBOWL! Aug 14!, etc.

Our KRFU AGM (Annual General Meeting -- where we elect new officers and do a "state of the club" report) will be held Thursday, July 22, at 7 PM at MoonDogs Too in Port Orchard.  Note that this is a Thursday Evening, so all practices that evening will be cancelled.

We hope everyone will be in attendance.  Our club has been growing and improving rapidly and this is your best opportunity to see how the club operates and what our plans are moving forward.

SAVE THE DATE:  FishBowl is back again!  Aug 14th.  We're working on having this at the Kitsap Fairgrounds (same place as the DIII championships) -- We'll have a new info posted, and tickets available ASAP.  After a great event last year, we're hoping to expand this year, with an extra fields, more players, and hopefully another beer garden.  TO THOSE INTERESTED IN PLAYING:  You do not need to register with a team -- this is a motley-style event and all registration is individual (you don't need to be active in any rugby teams, but you do need to be CIPPed).  Players from all divisions (including all you old-boys out there) are welcome to attend, and we will work with PNRFU teams that would like to get in some pre-season friendlies.

And to all PRC/OPSU/KRFU/Bangor Renegades/Armadillos players, alumni, family, friends, and fans:  We're planning our first official pre-season Kick-Off Party and Reunion for Sept 4th.  The 2010/2011 season will mark the official 25th Anniversary of OPSU, and to celebrate this notable achievement, we will be holding this family reunion style picnic.  We'll post more details as plans come together.
